Summary
A house with a mid 15th century core, 16th and 18th century rear, and an early 19th century façade. It is two storeys high with an attic, and is constructed of colourwashed brick with a black pantiled roof. The façade has six window bays. The south wall is abutted by a 19th century greenhouse made by Boulton and Paul. Inside, the stair tower retains its 16th century staircase, and the kitchen has beams of the same date.

Facade alone seen.
(S1) describes this building as having a mid 15th century core, 16th century and 18th century rear, early 19th century façade. Double pile, two storeys and attics. Façade of six bays (but space for seventh - E. Rose, NAU). Square entrance porch with iron twist columns on third bay. Deep bell based roof on timber overhang. Four gabled dormers. Internal gable stacks and one off centre. Boulton and Paul greenhouse late 19th century abuts south wall. Rear pile two storeys cross wing altered 1880 contains kitchen. Gabled full height stair turret with 16th century winder staircase. Mid 16th century ceiling beams in kitchen
with incised decoration.
