Full description

1874. Was the garden of Heathside House at junction of Cotman and Ransons Roads. Is now 7 Cotman Road.
'at Mr Ranson's near back of Mr Cooke's house'. Ranson Road where J Farrar Ranson lived 1867 - 1877 onwards.
Cooke - Isaac Bugg Cook who lived at Fernhill, Cotman Road (then called Grove Road).
Two complete Roman pots, small red coated cup and flagon (with neck missing) and fragments of grey war jar. 3rd-4th century. Not 1st century as on old museum label.
