Full description

This row of cottages date to the late 19th century. They are flint built with brick dressings and fish-scale tiled roofs. They are positioned in a four bay row with two central gabled wings. The centre bay has two ground-floor bay windows with four central lights and two canted lights, fixed casements with horizontal glazing bars, brick dressings and fish-scale tiled roofs. The outer bays have single ground and first-floor tripartite fixed wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars under cambered brick arches. The central bays have square headed first-floor three light casements. The central part-glazed door is of 20th century date. The roof has wooden eaves, with bargeboard gables to the central bays, and bargeboard end gables. Brick quoins and dressings throughout. There are two off-centre brick chimney stacks. These were listed as an example of mid to late 19th century Raynham Estate cottage architecture and for group value with the Post Office.
