Neolithic flint fabricator recorded as being found in Snake Wood. This object is held by the British Museum.

Wrongly boxed as from Snake Wood, Bishops Stortford - British Museum asked to change it.

Although this record was not previously mapped, Snake Wood is clearly marked on the 1st Edition O.S map and this name continues to be associated with an area of wood at this location. The mapped extent of this record reflects the approximate area in which this object was recovered.
