December 2004. Norfolk Rapid Coastal Zone Archaeological Survey.
Land-based survey; Area A72, Context 13:
Large cut in side of glacially deposited hill, possibly a result of sand or gravel extraction. Local tradition suggests that these cuts were used for boatbuilding, with the sloping sides of the cut providing easy access to the sides of curved hulls.
A second similar cut is recorded under NHER 42723.
