June 1988. Listed, Grade II.
Listed as The Cottages; not to be confused with Tower Farm Cottages or Tower Cottage (NHER 41179).
Listing Description:
Pair of estate cottages dated 1906 for John Raylor Ramsden. Carrstone and tile, 4 bays, one storey and attic. Arts and Crafts style in reflective symmetry. Carrstone rubble with dressed carrstone as detailing, and leaded windows with keystones. Centre two bays recessed with adjacent dormers. Cross-stacks to each side (misprinted as 'cross stones' on Listing). Outer bays have gables to front sweeping low. S façade gable has shield with 1906 JTR.
Listed as example of estate cottage in Arts and Crafts style using local materials.
