Full description
December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Post medieval field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs ((S1) to (S2)), centred at TG 2906 3591. The cropmarks are fragmentary and the field pattern is depicted more completely on historic maps (for example, (S3) to (S5)); consequently the cropmarks have not been mapped as part of the NMP. The complex pattern of circular and curvilinear cropmarks visible on these and other aerial photographs ((S1) to (S2) and (S6)) is the product of the background geology of the site, although it may hide further archaeological features.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 7 December 2004.
