Summary

Fieldwalking in 2003 recovered prehistoric worked flints and many pot boilers. Also found were fragments of Iron Age, Middle and Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery and medieval tile and brick. Metal-detecting in 2017 recovered a post-medieval coin and a medieval buckle.

2003. Fieldwalking in 10 by 10m squares, field A.
?Iron Age, ?Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds. Concentration of medieval and early post medieval sherds at north end.
Medieval roof tile and brick.
?Mesolithic, Early Neolithic, Late Neolithic and undatable prehistoric worked flints.
Many pot boilers, especially in south.

Medieval buckle, and a harness pendant with a counter-relief design of a enthroned king with sceptre (S1). Traces of dark blue enamle and gilding remain on the pendant.
Post-medieval coin.
