Metal detecting between 1994 and 1996 recovered a scattered hoard of twenty-one coins of Edward the Elder, deposited around 920-924 AD. These were bought by the British Museum.

Details of provenance supplied by finder January 2003.
Scattered hoard of twenty-one coins of Edward the Elder, deposited around 920-924 AD.
Declared Treasure Trove and acquired by British Museum.
See Treasure Trove Reviewing Committee Annual report 1994-5 no. 15 (S1) and 1996-7 nos. 20 & 21 (S2). Reference in latter to a Mr Cooper as finder is erroneus.
