Summary

It is recorded that in 1898 a number of Anglo-Saxon urns had been found at St Augustine's Gate (NHER 26160), including one whole urn. An iron knife, a coin of Queen Elizabeth and the greater part of a skeleton were also recovered.

Reported to NNAS that Anglo-Saxon urns had been found at St Augustine's Gate (NHER 26160), including one whole urn.
Also found; an iron knife, a coin of Queen Elizabeth and the greater part of a skeleton except skull.
Found on slightly different levels from urns.
