Full description

18 July 1996. NLA air photography.
Relatively large, double ring ditch visible with unusual square 'pit' like anomaly between the ditches (possibly natural).
To the northeast is a smaller single ring ditch.
These are probably prehistoric.
The linear features appear to be part of a field system that is widespread in this area, not on alignment with modern boundaries, and possibly Roman in date.
M. Brennand (NLA), 3 December 2001.

August 2012.
The field system previously recorded under this number is now recorded under NHER 57991.
S. Horlock (HES), 30 August 2012.
