June 2020. National Mapping Programme (NMP) Data Clean-Up.
The site described above was mapped and recorded as part of the Norfolk Coastal NMP project, but the record was not added to the NHER. A line of three square (1.5-2m across) anti-tank cubes that were part of a Second World War tank trap were visible on aerial photographs (S2). A second parallel line of three cubes is visible to the immediate south (HER 32420). Both sites are positioned on top of a sea defence bank (HER 36836). The anti-tank cubes are presumed to be extant, but recent Google Earth imagery is not clear enough to support or refute this.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk County Council, Historic Environment Service), 1 June 2020.
