Summary

Metal-detecting between 1998 and 2015 and a systematic fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey in 2007 recovered prehistoric worked flints; medieval pottery sherds; medieval and post-medieval coins and undatable, Roman/Early Saxon and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undatable casting waste and a possible plumb bob; a Roman/Early Saxon buckle; a Late Saxon/medieval mount; a medieval mount and suspension mount for a horse harness pendant and post medieval coin weights, trade weights, rivet and a weight or game counter.

Medieval suspension mount for a horse harness pendant, cruciform shape with three arms long and pierced for attachment and the 4th short, split and pierced for a hinge bar. Gilded bronze.
