A 17th century carstone house that is now subdivided into two. Mitre Farm Cottage has a gabled wooden porch and large fireplaces at either end, and the interior of Oak Cottage has massive tie beams with decorative stops.

Full description

June 1988. Listed, Grade II.
Subdivided house in Setch Road, Blackborough End. 17th century carstone with pantile. L-shaped.
Mitre Cottage is a long cell with stack at each end, one storey with raised attic. Small opening each side door and blocked fire window. Interior one large room with four tie beams and large fireplaces, that to right with moulded bressumer stone bench and niche. Stairs behind stack removed and stairs inserted at centre.
Oak Cottage, single cell with rear addition, has large fireplace and massive tie beams with decorative stops.
