Full description

Up to June 1998. Area of field. Metal detecting finds.
1) Fragment of Urnes style mount, with very nice but indecipherable openwork decoration and one surviving rather long bronze rivet. See The Vikings in Norwich, fig.43 which has a long projection, broken off on this example (old break). Mid/late 11th century. (S1) in NCM.
2) medieval silver ring brooch (Treasure etc.) awaiting description. Small thick late medieval/early post medieval lead cloth seal, apparently complete. Projection to one side. Indecipherable legends. (S1) in NCM.
