In 1965 a medieval French jetton was recovered from an unspecified loaction in Eaton. It was decorated with a Latin inscription on the front and an elaborate cross on the back.

1965. 'From Eaton'. Casual find.
Bronze medieval French jetton, crown type. Obverse: AVE MARIA GRACIA. Reverse: double stranded arcuate cross, fleuretty.
