Summary

Excavation in 1997 revealed a Late Saxon to Early medieval ditch and post hole building, as well as activity through the medieval and post medieval period. Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery fragments were also found, as well as animal bone and fired clay.

1997 and earlier. Area being excavated revealed cellar of masonry building, massive pits, linear features and well.
