Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1995-2005 has recovered a large number of multi-period metal objects and coins. Finds of note included part of a Middle Saxon ansate brooch, a medieval bell mount in the shape of a shell or wheatsheaf and a post medieval belt mount in the shape of two back to back fleur-de-lis.

Post medieval buckle frame with iron bar. Incurved long sides, rounded outer edges, moulded decoration at pin rests and at junction of bar and frame. Early 17th century.
