Summary

Fieldwalking in this area during 1996-99 recovered sherds of Roman, Late Saxon, Middle Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery. Subsequent metal detecting here in 2005 retrieved two medieval jettons, a medieval or post medieval coin weight and a book clasp. Metal-detecting in 2010 recovered medieval copper alloy buckle, strap-ends, medieval/post-medieval ring, post-medieval copper alloy buckles, hooked tagcrotal bell and coin.
