Summary
A Mesolithic/Neolithic chipped flint axehead was found in this field in 1940. Metal-detecting in 2010 recovered a Late Bronze Age copper alloy gouge and a medieval coin.

Full description
1940. Stray Find.
Found in field next to 'Clarke's eight acres':
1 prehistoric chipped flint axe.
Subsequently donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1962.13).
Although originally recorded as Neolithic this object was later reidentified by R. Jacobi as potentially Mesolithic.
