Summary

This was the site of a settlement during the medieval period. An important example of a Roman die stamp used in the manufacture of disc brooches was found by a metal detectorist. Roman pottery and medieval and post medieval coins, pottery, building materials and metal finds have also been recovered.

Medieval gilt copper alloy hook attachment from a spur. The plate is circular and 18mm in diameter. One sturdy hook survives, but the other is broken off (old break). Now very corroded.
