Full description
1954. 274m (300 yards) westnorthwest of Greensgate. Two Late Bronze Age bronze swords found by ploughing on 22nd January 1954; depth 45cm (1 1/2 feet) (leaf shaped); sticky clay soil. 1. 51cm (20 1/4 inches) long with six rivet holes. 2. 55cm (21 1/2 inches) long. Site examined June 1954 by R. R. Clarke (NCM); nothing further found.
