Metal detecting at this site over the period of 1993 to 2006 has recovered a range of multi period metal objects. Noteworthy artefacts included an early post medieval lead fastener and 18th century Admiral Vernon Fort Chagre medal.

Full description

1993. Metal detector finds.
13th century buckle, rectangular, moulded frame, pin and collar.
Early post medieval lead fastener, with loop for attachment lozenge-shaped and bosses at corner and cast quatrefoil in centre.
Post medieval circular buckle.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM) 1993.
