Extensive metal detecting at this location from 1993 to 2007 retrieved a wealth of multi period metal objects. The collection includes a Roman Hod Hill brooch, a Middle Saxon pin, a medieval harness stud with enamelling and decorative grapes and a medieval decorated cover for the hilt of knife or dagger.

Medieval ring brooch (flat section, narrow pin bar). Decorated with groups of punched annulets.
