An excavation was carried out by the NAU in 1993 but no archaeological features were recorded. A few fragments of Roman pottery were the only finds recovered from the site.

Full description

October 1993. Trial Trench.
Evaluation of site of new building, between Nissen huts.
A few Roman sherds on surface but otherwise the trench proved totally negative.
