Summary

Extensive metal detecting at this location undertaken over the period of 1992-2007 has recovered a huge diversity of metal artefacts from several different archaeological periods. The most interesting of these were a beautiful medieval lead seal matrix, medieval lead Boy Bishop token pierced for use as a pendant, post medieval thimble with unusual stamped decoration and a red enamelled Saxon disc brooch with dumb-bell shaped motifs.
