Summary

Fieldwalking in 1992 noted a Mesolithic to Neolithic flint working site, Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery fragments and various other undateable pieces. Metal detecting between 1998 and 2002 recovered a range of objects, including Roman, medieval and post medieval coins.

Full description

November 1992. Fieldwalking.
Many worked flints including flakes, blades and other struck pieces. Notable pieces include a possible micro-burin of Mesolithic or Neolithic date and a Neolithic side scraper. The remainder of the assemblage probably represents knapping during two phases: the late Mesolithic/early Neolithic and the 'mature' Neolithic. Fifty-two undated prehistoric 'pot boilers' were also recovered.
