Summary

Metal detecting and filedwalking here in 1992 recovered various metal artefacts and pottery sherds. Finds of note included part of a medieval Grimston Ware jug, a medieval lead seal matrix, a medieval bronze finger ring with empty oval bezel and a fine medieval conical lead weight with iron suspension loop. Further work here in 2004 recovered three medieval coins and six post medieval harness mounts.

Early Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval, post medieval pottery.
Green Glazed Grimston face jug fragment.
Early medieval rim.
Late medieval/Transitional ware and Lead Glazed earthware.
Thetford type ware rims and bases.
Early Saxon sherd with grog.
Medieval, post medieval metalwork.

12th/13th century lead seal matrix, circular with projecting lug. [S] HVGONIS PAIS. Polaroid (S1) in file.
Probably 13th century bronze finger ring, empty oval bezel.
?Medieval nice conical lead weight with iron suspension loop.
Early post medieval bronze thimble.
Early post medieval bronze openwork harness or chest decoration with scalloped edge and trefoil openings. Spike on reverse.
Early post medieval bronze openwork stud, spike on reverse, broken off. Trefoil openings.
