Full description

July/August 1991. Metal detecting finds.
Roman copper alloy end-loop from cosmetic mortar, (S1)
Details sent to British Museum.
Roman Trumpet-headed brooch. Pin and lower bow missing. Stump of chain loop. Diamond-shaped bow with central circle ?originally enamelled. Compare with example in (S2). 2nd century.
Medieval Papal bull Clement III 1187-1191. Obv: SS Peter and Paul Rev: CLE ~ MENS pp III.
15th to 16th century copper alloy sword belt fitting,; leaf-shaped hooked mount with ring through hook. 2 iron attachment rivets
Late medieval spur arm, doubly pierced terminal decorated with punched annulets between two lines
