Summary

Metal detecting here in 1991 recovered a lead rectangular pilgrim badge fragment. This fragment showed St Paul with sword and had a Latin legend. The same survey also uncovered a medieval penny of Alexander III of Scotland.

March 1991. Metal detector finds.
13th/14th century lead rectangular pilgrim badge fragment. Rome, St Paul with sword, legend '..TRIET ET PAVLI' (from SIGNA APOSTOLORVM PETRI ET PAULI). See for comparison one from Thetford (County No 19222).
