Full description

August 1991. Excavation.
North Tuddenham Bypass.
Site identified by [1], who was observing the stripped road line during construction. A number of archaeologically significant features were subsequently examined by D. Gurney (NLA). These included part of the eaves-drip gully of a Iron Age house. This feature contained pottery and potboilers. Several patches of pot boilers were also identified nearby, these apparently representing the very bases of features.
See report (S1) and plans in file. The results of this work are also summarised in (S2).
This finds recovered are now held by the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1991.158 : A).
D. Gurney (NLA), 28 August 1991. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 30 March 2015.
