Metal detecting and fieldwalking here in 1990 and 1996 recovered a variety of objects including a Neolithic flint knife, a medieval bronze belt chape terminal, a post medieval token and a late medieval decorative harness/belt mount.

Full description

1990. Found in fieldwalking with metal detector.
Two flint flakes, reworked; one flint flake; one backed Neolithic knife.
1st-2nd century AS or dupondius. Coin form in file. Identified by D. Gurney (NAU).
Late medieval/transitional rim and two body sherds.
Bronze belt chape terminal, openwork with lis-shaped lobe at base.
Cast bronze cauldron or ewer leg. Polaroid taken by NCM.
Undated bronze sheet, seven lead sheet fragments or waste.
Identifications by S. Margeson (NCM).

Post medieval token, two jettons.

Late medieval decorative ?harness/?belt mount. Trefoil, with two foils perforated, third solid. Single bent-over attachment spike on back.
