1854. 'Coin' brooch circular of bronze with roughly incised edging - lion with head towards back. Early 9th century around 1 1/2 inches (3.8cm) diameter. Lion surrounded by ring of triangular marks. Photo in British Museum (H. Plowright Collection) 18220.127.116.11.
