Summary

Extensive metal detecting here during 1991-2003 recovered a huge number of artefacts, coins and pottery sherds. Finds of note included Middle Saxon tweezers, medieval lead ampullae, a decorative plate from a Late Saxon bridle cheekpiece, part of a fine medieval/post medieval finger ring, a beautiful Late Saxon vessel foot in the Ringerike style and a medieval seal matrix with a fleur-de-lis motif.
