Summary

At sometime before May 1987 an antiquities dealer in Cirencester acquired a Roman figurine supposedly from Thetford. The figurine took the form of a copper alloy Roman miniature helmet, possibly a votive or a detachable helmet from a Mars/Minerva figurine.

Copper alloy Roman miniature helmet, possibly a votive, or just possibly a detachable helmet from a Mars/Minerva figurine.
