Summary

Fieldwalking in this area during 1987 and 1989 recovered prehistoric flints along with sherds of Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery. Subsequent metal detecting in 1997 recovered various objects including a possible Roman furniture knob, a medieval spoon, part of a post medieval sword chape and a post medieval horse brass.
