Summary

Metal-detecting and field walking since 1987 has recovered a prehistoric worked flint; Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon and post-medieval pottery sherds; a post-medieval gun flint; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and token and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Bronze Age copper alloy toggle; a Roman brooch and part of an armlet; an Early Saxon brooch and sleeve clasp; a Middle Saxon brooch, book fitting, reliquary and harness and strap fittings; Late Saxon furniture fitting, strap-end, copper alloy ingot and a bridle bit; medieval dress accessories, weights, a ferrule, spindle whorl, padlock, a key and a rowel spur; medieval/post-medieval metalworking debris, part of a chafing dish and a buckle and post-medieval dress accessories, coin weights, a thimble, furniture fittings and copper alloy vessel fragments.

February 1987. Found in fieldwalking.
Worked flint.
Roman greyware.
Medieval unglazed sherds; Thetford type rim sherd.
Post medieval bronze decorated shoe buckle, gun flint, clay pipe bowl (18th century), buttons including one lead.
