8 April 1987. Large field showing former meanders of Nar, one shown on 1838 1st edition 1inch Ordnance Survey (S1) and one noted by E. Rose from NAU aerial photographs (S2).
Fenland fieldwalking, well weathered ploughsoil.
Odd fragments medieval pottery scattered over field, more intense on levee around 6264 1353 but not enough to make concentration. WHW AY (S3).
