Summary

Fieldwalking and archaeological observations in 1987 and 1998 recorded the presence of medieval pottery sherds, building materials and roofing tiles along with post medieval metalwork. Subsequent metal detecting in 2001 recovered a medieval half pound lead weight with cast fleur-de-lis decoration. For further information on these finds see the file for NHER 22416.

14 April 1987. Fenland fieldwalking, well weathered ploughsoil. Site TYS CK.
Odd medieval sherds, no concentrations.

January 2001. Metal detecting. At location [1].
Medieval lead weight for half pound. Shield-shaped. Cast fleur-de-lis. Deeply scored diagonal line on front face may have been intended as a cancellation mark. Weighs 211g (7.3oz).
