Name:Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds, field southeast of church

Summary

Fieldwalking in 1987 by the Fenland Survey recovered sherds of medieval pottery, as well as two Late Saxon Thetford ware sherds. Metal detecting in 2009 recovered a post-medieval coin weight and coin, and 8 post-medieval jettons.

Full description

17 April 1987. Fenland fieldwalking advanced winter cereal. Southeast of church.
Odd sherds of medieval pottery, no obvious concentrations. Also two Late Saxon Thetford ware sherds. WSG BT (S1).
