According to a map of 1840 this was the location of a windmill. It was supposedly demolished in 1888, with the materials being used to build the Mill Cottages, of which the original mill house is No.3.

Windmill marked here on (S1).

First appears on (S2) and (S3). Demolished in 1888, materials sold 26 June. Bricks used to build Mill Cottages of which the original Mill House is now no.3.
