Summary

Fieldwalking in 1985 recovered a general scatter of medieval pottery sherds, as well as a concentration of pottery sherds, animal bone and moderate building rubble on the edge of a possible medieval drove.

Full description

30-31 October 1985. Fieldwalking, Fenland survey. Winter cereal, poor to moderate weathering.
Context 1: general scatter medieval sherds, more frequent towards drove. TYL CV (S1).
Context 2 at 5576 1647: sparse concentration of pottery and extremely sparse animal bone and moderate building rubble, on edge of drove, 35m x 30m min. Northeast to southwest. TYL 42 (S2).
