Summary

1976 aerial photography shows the cropmarks of rectangular enclosures and a trackway, part of a field system. In 1995, metal detecting recovered a very nice Middle to Late Saxon copper alloy buckle frame decorated with animal heads.

'Cropmarks' noted on Cambridge University Committee for Aerial photography list of aerial photographs.
These are rectangular enclosures and a drove-like feature, a continuation of site NHER 21829.

September/October 1995.
Metal detecting.
Lovely Middle Saxon/Late Saxon buckle frame with relief animal heads at corners of pin-bar and another forming pin-rest. Compare with Fulmodeston NHER 17342.
Affinities with Viking Borre style.
Ghastly polaroid (S1) in file.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).
