Summary

Meadow Cottage is a late 16th century timber-framed building with a steep gabled pantiled roof and an off centre brick chimneystack. This two storey building has internal bridging beams carried on carved studs, and a lobby entrance.

June 1981. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"Late 16th-century house. Timber frame, rendered. Steep gabled pantiled roof. Brick off-centre stack. Two storeys, lobby entrance. Stopped and carved ceiling beams and joists. Beams supported on carved posts. Four-centred doorway in attic".

House located by E. Rose (NAU), though only exterior seen, which has no datable details. Note position very close to eastern arm of moated site to west (NHER 21742).
