Summary

Metal-detecting has recovered several Late Bronze Age copper alloy items, indicating a dispersed hoard, Romano-British pottery and a vessel fragment, undatable and post-medieval metal objects. Metal-detecting in 2011 recovered post-medieval coins and a medieval coin weight, a copper alloy post-medieval figurine of Neptune, a Late Saxon/medieval padlock key, a medieval key, ampulla and ewer spout fragment, and a post-medieval powder charger cap.

Full description

March 1985. Found with metal-detector in ploughsoil in middle of field.
Upper two-thirds of Late Bronze Age socketed axehead, with triple rib decoration and one large and one small mouth moulding, (S1).
See NHER 18013 for fragment of another axe nearby.
