Summary

A Mesolithic or Neolithic flint pick was found in this field in 1982. Subsequent metal-detecting in 2011 recovered a medieval/post-medieval padlock and a post-medieval buckle.

Full description

1982. Stray Find.
Surface find by [1], on "David Load's by Bale Wood", at approximately [2]:
1 Mesolithic/Neolithic long flaked flint pick. 22.5cm long, cutting end removed by recent fracture. Patinated yellow over brown staining. See drawing (S1).
