Record Details

NHER Number:2041
Type of record:Monument
Name:Possible Roman road and undated well

Summary

An area where crops wouldn't grow has been noted in this field. This has been interpreted as a Roman road because of the amount of Roman pottery and iron working waste found nearby. Reports also suggest there was an undated well here. It was filled with building material, perhaps from a small chapel that may have stood nearby.
