Summary

A complete Neolithic polished flint axehead was found in 1969. Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of prehistoric worked flints and one piece of medieval pot.

Full description

About 1969. Found in ploughsoil by [1]. Close to cut-off channel.
Near flint NHER 4743.
Complete flint ground axe of high quality. Length 17.5 cm. Thin butted with facets along sides. Stained brown, suggesting contact with peat.
