R. Silvester (NAU) October 1983

Archive notes Roman sherds and one medieval sherd from Context 5. Some of the material found by R. Silvester (NAU) at contexts 2-4 has been reidentified as Roman, Early Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval pottery.

For full details of wares, flint types etc. see Fenland Folders (S1).

1989-90. Cleaning of dyke on east side field.
Produced much Roman pottery, briquetage and animal bone, some of it from a feature.
See details in file.
E. Rose (NLA) 1 July 1997.

December 2006 - January 2007. Geophysical survey for the King's Lynn to Wisbech pipeline, Stage 1.
A cluster of magnetic anomalies in the southern end of the site could represent silted pits associated with the possible Roman settlement, which has been suggested by previous finds of pottery and animal bone. The survey also detected linear features that could represent former field ditches.
