Full description

October-November 1981. Part of large scatter NHER 3565.
Hooked tag with nielloed central field on front and back. Front inlaid with silver scrolls. 9th-10th century.
See the strap-end decorated with silver scrolls from North Elmham Park (NCM loan) and see the hooked tag from Brandon, Suffolk excavations with similar niello and silver scroll decorations.
